Can't Remember That Campground You Loved? Rain2Shine Camping & Travel Journal

Updated: Jun 20, 2024

Having trouble finding a travel journal that includes everything? Are you looking for a way to document your adventures and save memories and mementos from the stops along your journey? Are you an avid camper who loves to be out in nature or are you a travel enthusiast who loves exploring bucket list destinations?

If you fit into any of the above categories then this travel and camping journal is for you! Whether you want to save your memories for friends and family or you’re looking to start a life of travel blogging, rain2shine camping & travel journal has a little bit of everything, including info/analysis about each destination such as logistics, aesthetics, activities, amenities and operations. It also has a page for overall ranking, a section for specific trip memories, things to do next time (if you want to return), a gratitude list and a place for additional notes.

One of the many benefits of this journal is the level of detail included. When taking notes about a trip, it can be hard remembering everything that may be important to you at a later date. This journal has checklists covering everything your stay may offer. For instance, shade level, quiet hours, garbage pick-up, activities provided and more!

As campgrounds/resorts continue to compete and grow, more amenities such as fitness centers, bars/restaurants, water parks, and more become available. These can also be found in one of the many checklists within the journal.

I know, there are a lot of travel and camping journals available, but one thing I haven’t seen in any others that we felt would be a great addition is a scrapbook page where you can include pictures and mementos from your trip. For me, this is a great way to jog your memory for years to come of each specific stop along the journey. If you’re traveling a great distance with multiple, short stops along the way, things tend to blur together and having visuals in addition to your notes is a great way to bring you back to that moment.

As you all know, I live and breathe RV Life and one of the main reasons I chose to downsize into my 5th wheel was to save money for travel. Nothing makes me happier than exploring and adventuring. In the photos below, you can see the time and thought we put into designing this book based on our love for all things camping and travel. There are 3 pages dedicated to each stop of your journey, Page 1. Info/Details, Page 2. Memories/Notes, Page 3. Scrapbook. Each group of pages has beautiful, scenic backgrounds from beaches to mountains and everything in between. We also added travel inspired quotes for each adventure.

This journal “came to be” for my personal documentation of RV travels. My Aunt and Uncle gave me a campground log shortly after we became full-time RVers in our 5th wheel and I loved the idea. I planned on using it to keep notes that I could later use to blog about our trips. However, I found I preferred living in the moment and didn’t document as well as I should have during trips. Because of this, I recommend taking the time to fill out the book on your way home or while heading to your next destination. There’s no better time to make those notes than when you’re stuck in a vehicle. Additionally, I had a hard time remembering each campground or stop without a visual, hence the scrapbook page.

To be completely honest, I promised myself I wouldn’t get back into the retail industry when I started renovating campers. I am not a believer in pushing people to buy something they don’t love or need; I am not that person. However, when I made this book, I designed it based on a deep love of travel and the need for a different layout/design than any other travel logs I had seen. Once I had a prototype in my hands, I thought my camping and travel friends might want or need a book like mine. Thus, I decided to share it with all of you.

Most of you probably don’t know that I owned a jewelry design company before getting into the RV industry. I’ve been an artist my entire life and found a niche in jewelry at an early age. After opening Alice’s Chic Boutique in early 2013, I was discovered by a company in Los Angeles. They invited me to attend multiple gift suites for big award shows such as the Emmys, Golden Globes and American Music Awards. My jewelry designs have adorned many celebrities around the world for red carpet events as well as TV and Film.

Getting to showcase my jewelry for the “stars” and network with some of the best stylists in the business was a highlight of that career. However, the amount of work I put in as a one-woman operation could be overwhelming. As much as I loved designing and hand-making jewelry, specifically custom, one-of-a-kind pieces, the time and energy to manage and ship orders didn’t provide a consistent means of living and I missed other forms of art and design outside of the jewelry industry.

Thankfully, I found my true calling after renovating my tiny home on wheels that brought me back to my roots in architecture and interior design. There are so many factors that go into renovating RVs from the mechanics and construction to the aesthetics, creative resourcefulness and style which allows a broader range to use my talents.

If you’re a fan of our work and want a helpful, colorful and fun journal designed by your *favorite RV Renovator* to log all of your adventures, you’ve come to the right place! We put this book together out of our love for adventuring, camping and traveling and we hope you love it too!! The best part is that it’s available on Amazon which means it can be at your doorstep in no time!

Love and hugs, Alice
