LIGHTING

_edited.jpg

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

We had a request from a client to build a chandelier for their mountain home out of jars they found on their land.  With a few photos of the room it was to be hung, we drew up a design.  We built a triangular wood frame that we distressed & stained, then drilled holes in each corner and added dowels.  We drilled out the jar lids to add the lighting receptacles, & hung each lamp with antique cloth sheathing wire.  We added LED strips in the trough that had been cut in the top of the frame for extra lighting.  We let the chain soak in acid to remove the zinc which allows the chain to oxidize giving it an aged look.  Lastly, we hung the chandelier by the chain.
